Important Car Rider Safety Message from Deputy Mike

To ensure the safety of our students and staff—and to help traffic flow efficiently during arrival and dismissal—please carefully review and follow the car rider procedures below. These procedures are in place for everyone's well-being, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Morning Drop-Off (Begins at 8:55 AM)

  • Staff begin opening car doors at 8:55 AM and finish at 9:10 AM.

  • If you arrive after 9:10 AM, please park and escort your child to the office to sign them in.

  • Do not drop off your child unattended. A staff member must be present to welcome your child into the building.

  • Have your child ready to exit the vehicle as soon as a staff member opens the door.

Afternoon Pick-Up (Begins at 3:55 PM)

  • Dismissal begins at 3:55 PM.

  • If you arrive after 4:10 PM, you must come into the office to pick up your child.

  • Please make every effort to be on time for both drop-off and pick-up.

Traffic Flow Reminders

  • There are two lanes for car riders. Please use both lanes to keep traffic off Princeton Road and move the line efficiently.

  • Keep vehicles close to minimize large gaps in the line.

  • When exiting the school lot, please turn right only even if no oncoming traffic is visible. This rule helps prevent backups and delays for families behind you.

  • Please observe the posted sign: "Arrival and Dismissal – Right Turn Only.

General Safety Guidelines

  • Speed Limit: The school zone speed limit is 20 MPH. This includes both public traffic and parents—please model safe driving behavior.

  • Cell Phones: Avoid using cell phones during arrival and dismissal. Either use hands-free or wait until the process is over. This keeps our students and staff safe.

  • Turn Signals: Using your turn signal helps staff better direct traffic, especially on busier days.

  • I know there have been a few times when I wasn’t at the entrance due to other duties. Regardless, these rules still apply whether I’m present or not. These procedures are designed to protect everyone, and following them consistently makes arrival and dismissal smoother and safer.

  • Thank you for your cooperation and continued support in keeping our school community safe.

    Stay safe,
    Deputy Mike
